What are some of the art works that you really admire?
Distorted
Counting in the midst of all the noises,
the incomprehensible words from an indefinite source.
There I sit with the iteration of the same words
noted carefully from that undefined source.
Hallucination
When alone in the dark
You see everything taking a terrible shape.
The trees, its branches, its leaves
Taking some horrible and frightening form..
You run, afraid.
And then you realise these were all hallucinations…
In search
You begin
Without words, without expression,
Only to wonder what might the sentence end up to…
You keep on forming words inside the mind;
new words with expression or words that express!
Nothing can be more wonderful and explorable at that moment.
Storytelling-1
According to Alan Moore,“Artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.”
Storytelling is the most effective and beautiful way to convey others your imagination, beliefs and thoughts. The world of fiction amuses us and it is indeed true that we can relate it to ourselves closely. The creatively written stories expresses itself amazingly and this is what makes it look so real. Here are a few beautiful quotes on storytelling-
“Stories make us more alive, more human, more courageous, more loving.” -Madeleine L’Engle
“If you wish to influence an individual or a group to embrace a particular value in their daily lives, tell them a compelling story.” -Annette Simmons
“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.” -Phillip Pullman
“The shortest distance between a human being and the truth is a story.” -Anthony de Mello
“Storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it.” -Hannah Arendt
The shiny dime
The wind
When a gust of wind makes everything invisible,
The sound of its terrible motion; whirling forces…
And then comes the heavy drops of water from the black sky…
Faded memories
The line of Three..
Carrying the weight of the wind
on my shoulders,
Only to feel the weightless beauty of the soil beneath..
The rythmic symphony of footsteps following behind,
and the swinging motion of the shadow which I follow…
The Reader’s View-9
Many a times a poem can beautify the writer’s thoughts to a point where it couldn’t have been better. Do you agree? Isn’t it true that we can form a perfect image of the things the poet wish to express?
